Subway is poised to unveil a trio of new snack options called “Sidekicks,” which will include three separate Footlong Snacks for consumers to enjoy.
These unique treats will be added to the menu on January 22, 2024, and will be offered for a short time at participating stores countrywide.
What makes this launch so intriguing is Subway’s cooperation with well-known companies Cinnabon and Auntie Anne’s to provide a new spin to their famous sweets. It’s worth noting that Subway spent over a year developing the recipe, resulting in a remarkable balance of flavor and texture in these new items.
The Three New Sidekicks Are Examined in Further Depth Below:
- The Footlong Cookie
This elongated chocolate chip cookie, which was first offered in select eateries for National Cookie Day in 2022 and 2023, is now accessible nationally.
This large yet tasty cookie is soft, warm, and full of chocolate flavor. Those who choose to indulge in this dessert should have extra napkins on hand.
The cookie’s texture is a delicious cross between a regular cookie and a cake, making it an excellent accompaniment to a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Regardless of your favored pairings, devouring this delight solo in one sitting requires either Joey Chestnut’s strength or the willingness to compete in an eating contest. Consider purchasing this treat to share with your friends.
- Cinnabon Footlong Churro
Introducing the 12-inch churro, cooked to perfection, topped with Cinnabon’s famous Makara cinnamon and sugar combination, and served warm. After a successful test in September 2023, this scrumptious dessert is now accessible countrywide.
Regardless of its advantages, this churro took third place among footlong treats in my personal assessment. While the flavor was good, the texture lacked the anticipated crunchiness of churros. Nonetheless, for $2, it’s a snack I’d definitely consider trying again.
- Auntie Anne’s Footlong Pretzel
This savory footlong snack is a fresh spin on Auntie Anne’s classic pretzel and is served with a side of Subway’s Honey Mustard. Customers may also pick from a number of Subway sauces for dipping, including Sweet Onion Teriyaki and Baja Chipotle sauce.
Subway’s proposed costs for the new Sidekick products are now $5 for the Footlong Cookie, $3 for Auntie Anne’s Footlong Pretzel, and $2 for the Cinnabon Footlong Churro.
Enthusiasts wanting to taste these new footlong Sidekick snacks may simply obtain them by visiting any participating site nationwide beginning January 22, 2024; however, the promotion is only available for a short period.
