On June 11, Jack in the Box announced a big new franchise deal to bring its famous burgers, tacos, and all-day breakfast to Georgia. They plan to open 15 locations throughout the state, focusing on the rapidly growing cities of Macon, Augusta, and Savannah. This move is part of the chain’s strategy to increase its presence in the Southeastern United States.

Tim Linderman, the chief development officer at Jack in the Box, said, “This new franchise commitment represents an essential step forward in our strategic expansion across the Southeastern United States.”

Currently, Jack in the Box has about 2,200 restaurants spread across 22 states, mainly in the West and South. The new Georgia locations will operate 24 hours a day. They will offer dine-in, drive-thru, and mobile ordering options to make it easy for everyone to enjoy their favorite meals anytime.

Jack in the Box is on a major growth streak. Not only are they opening 15 new restaurants in Georgia, but they also have big plans for the future. In late 2023, the burger chain announced that they had commitments for 123 new restaurants, which they plan to open over the next few years.

They are not stopping there. Jack in the Box has also signed a deal to open its first five stores in Michigan and is planning to open dozens of new locations in Florida, where they currently don’t have any restaurants.

Tim Linderman, the chief development officer at Jack in the Box, shared his excitement, saying, “With the addition of 15 new franchise commitments in Georgia and over 30 recently announced commitments in Florida, we’re excited to bring our craveable 24/7 menu to even more communities. Georgia’s vibrant business environment and strong consumer base make it an ideal location for our sustained expansion.”

Besides, Jack in the Box, there are many other burger chains that are expanding right now. The Slutty Vegan, known for its plant-based menu, plans to more than double its locations in the next year and a half. Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers also announced a new franchise deal to open 20 restaurants in Houston and aims to debut 65 new restaurants in 2024.
